Handmade wheel-thrown ceramic mug that balances utility with cheer. Designed as daily-ware - because every drink is a special occasion!

Materials:

The clay is a white porcelain-adjacent stoneware, wheel-thrown with a handle attached It is fired mid-range in an electric kiln to cone 6, balancing durability and strength with vibrancy of color. Colors abound, applied with abandon, made from Mason stains mixed with a base glaze. The individualized illustrations are hand-drawn and etched into the surface to provide a guide line to then inlay with a colored wash. The mug is glazed with a home-mixed gloss for maximum utility. It wipes clean and resists cutlery marks. The exterior of the cup feels so satiny you'll want to hold onto it between sips!

Clay and glazes are chosen and mixed to be food-safe. Microwaves are not recommended, hand-washing is preferred to preserve longevity. Pottery is intended for daily use, hot food or cold, but please be mindful of exposure to thermal shock from extreme temperature changes. Each mug is unique, perfectly asymmetrical, and features variations in line, hue, drips and diffusions (I <3 wonk and color!)
